Roanoke’s Visitor Center and Museum in the restored Rock Building (originally the 1886 Silver Spur Saloon) is often a visitor’s first stop in this historic town. Celebrate ROANOKE! is yet another fun-filled downtown event held in the fall. And of course, the Old Fashioned Christmas events and parade are a community favorite. The city also offers six parks with a variety of amenities for public recreation, including Ronaoke Community Park, where the Annual Kids Fishing Day event is held. Locals also enjoy a state of the art Recreation Center, which offers plenty of activities for everyone
